Cloud gaming on Xbox 360 in development

Everyone is talking about the cloud. Nobody is talking about the data cap set by ISPs. If I stream 1080 video 5-6 hours a day, I doubt 250gb should suffice. Coupled with multiple users in the home (steam, hulu, netflix, youtube, pandora), data may be a problem.

At GDC China, Microsoft’s Brian Prince made a few comments about the development of an Xbox 360 cloud technology. During the conference, it was stated that “you’ll be seeing things in the Xbox platform that are cloud-specific. I’m already doing it,  it’s really exciting, but I can’t tell you about it or else I’ll get fired.”

He also stated a few comments toward services such as Onlive, saying that this type of thing is a step in the right direction. He seems to think that this really is the “future of gaming in the cloud.”

This confirms that there is going to be some type of streaming gaming-related content taking place on the Xbox platform in the future. As of yet, this is all the information that was exposed about this type of technology.
